We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. This job performs maintenance tasks of great variety bearing and motor replacement, welding (fabrication and repair), basic HVAC related repairs, basic building maintenance, forklift repair, gearbox repair (blowers and process), grinder/chopper blade set up and replacement, process plumbing, drive diagnosis/repair/replacement, electrical panel building, equipment wiring, PLC troubleshooting, controller replacement/tuning, speed match issues within the process, heater wiring/replacement

A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

TASK 1: Perform any electrical work Varies Occasional Basis/Day

  • Working on control panels, and wiring
  • Awkward positions to perform these tasks
  • Squatting, crouching, crawling,
  • Sustained postures
  • Neck flexion/extension/rotation and side bending
  • Fine motor manipulation and gross grasping
  • Supplies and equipment <20# lifting anywhere from floor to overhead level
  • Vibration with power tools Occasional to Constant Basis/hour

TASK 2: Preventative maintenance on all lines (Oil, grease, change over) Every other weekly

  • Climbing, crawling, squatting and crouching to perform these tasks
  • Use boom to reach the spaces
  • Static standing
  • Controls at waist level
  • Neck flexion/extension
  • Waist to Overhead level upper extremity work
  • Supplies and equipment worked with <30# lifting floor to overhead level
  • Lifting on an occasional basis/hour
  • vibration with power tools Occasional to Constant Basis/hour

TASK 3: Repair any mechanical difficulties for any of the lines, machinery, etc. Daily 1 to 12 hours out of the day

  • Push/pull tool box to worksite 40#/F/40#/F
  • Push/Pull welder to worksite 50#/F/50#/F
  • Retrieve supplies from maintenance shelves located 3" to 80" off the floor
  • Awkward positions to perform these tasks
  • Squatting, crouching, crawling,
  • Sustained postures
  • Neck flexion/extension/rotation and side bending
  • Fine motor manipulation and gross grasping
  • Use forklift, scissor lift, crane or boom lift with any of these tasks
  • Heavy equipment may be seated or standing task, various neck postures, waist level upper extremity work
  • Lift floor to chest level up to 50#
  • Has the ability to use the forklift with heavier items

TASK 4: Change the light bulbs within the plant. Monthly Basis

  • Work off the boom and/or ladder
  • Overhead upper extremity work
  • Carry ladder (33#) to worksite
  • Supplies <10# lifted waist to overhead level

TASK 5: Work on equipment (A/C) on the roof Seasonal Basis

  • Use boom lift to access the roof
  • Carry tool belt <10# one handed
  • Squat or crouching to perform this task
  • Neck flexion / extension
